Niger NLC joins protest against insecurity, demands urgent action by FG
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). Niger State.Council, has demanded for the exposure and prosecution of all sponsors of violence in parts of the country towards addressing the current security challenges bedeviling the country.
The NPC Chairman in the State, Comrade Idrees Abdulkareem Lafene made their demands known when he led the organized Labour leaders in the State on a peaceful protest rally to present their position paper to the Hon.Speaker Niger State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Sarkin- Daji at the Assembly complex in Minna.
Receiving their position paper for onward presentation to the Niger state Governor, Rt. Hon.. Mohammed Umaru Bago, the Speaker of the Niger state House of Assembly,Rt. Hon. (Barr..) Abdulmalik Sarkin -Daji assured the organized Labour leaders in the State that they are at the right place, and commended the leadership of NLC in the state for always maintaining their peaceful rally protest peacefully without unnecessary interruption.
Rt. Hon..Sarkin- Daji, maintained that they will act swiftly, and that they will not only take the paper to governor Bago, but will read it out on the floor of the state House of Assembly for deliberations and possible action that will hopely add value to their demands.
