Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has assured people of the state that a credible and acceptable successor will emerge from the fold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 gubernatorial seat.
The Governor also emphasized that the PDP will ensure that only candidates who can win their respective elections will be fielded to enable it remain in power in the State beyond 2027.
Bala Mohammed was speaking on Saturday during a reception organized by the people of Tafawa Balewa LGA to honor the newly elected State Chairman of the who hails from the area, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga.
He emphasized the importance of bringing credible contestants to ensure victory in the 2027 general elections because according to him, “We must continue to build on the foundations we have laid.”
Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir also highlighted the significance of inclusivity in governance, stressing that successful leadership relies on strong partnerships between those in power and the people they serve.
The Governor pledged to continue his efforts to drive positive change in the state, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between leaders and citizens just as he reaffirmed his commitment to serving Bauchi people and the PDP.
He expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership for their unwavering support and contributions to the party’s objectives, attributing Bauchi State’s recent achievements to the unity and determination of the PDP.
He congratulated Samaila Burga on his election, expressing confidence in his leadership and ability to guide the party to greater accomplishments.
He cited Samaila Burga’s extensive experience and commitment to the party’s values as key factors in his success stressing that the task ahead of the new executive in the state is to steer the party to victory in 2027 general elections.
He urged the new party leadership to ensure sanity, fairness, and justice in the selection process.
He congratulated the newly elected PDP State Executives and reminded them to build on the legacy of the previous administration under Hamza Koshe Akuyam.
In his address, PDP State Chairman, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga appreciated the Governor’s support towards the successful party congress.
He appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for his support, his home local government area, Tafawa Balewa, for the show of love and pledged to run an all inclusive leadership to enable the party succeeds.
He promised to play a constitutional role for the development of the party and the state.
Also speaking, immediate past Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam, acknowledged Governor Bala Mohammed’s outstanding leadership and contributions to the state’s development and the party, assuring him of his continued collaboration for the success of his administration.
Other party stalwarts who spoke during the ceremony included the Secretary to the State Government, Barr Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, Sen Adamu Ibrahim Gumba, Hon Hassana Arkila, SSA Youths, Bala Saleh Chiroma and Barr Kefas Musa Magaji I among others who pledged to support the new PDP executives to ensure the party succeeds beyond 2027.
The event, which drew politicians, party members, and supporters from across the state, reinforced the unity within the PDP in Bauchi state and nationally, as the party prepares for future challenges and opportunities.
