2027: North-East Youths group declares support for continuation of Tinubu/Shettima presidency 

All Progressives Congress (APC), Youth Parliament , North-East, the auspices body that cannotes and administer the affairs of over 200 other affiliate groups in across the six states of North-eastern sub-region, has declared support for the continuation of the Tinubu/Shettima presidency in 2027.

The group, in a press conference held on Friday in Bauchi, stated that, “having keenly observed the development which take centre stage and suddenly begin to rear its ugly head within the affairs of our party, the APC, we came together today, under this platform, not only to reassess our very foundation, but to join in imagination to common purpose and to make bold step not only to surmount our present chellenges, but as well to achieve greater APC project in 2027, devoid of any resentment of whatever cause.”

Reading the text of the conference, its Chairman, Kabiru Garba Kobi stated that, “The meeting have noted with utmost dismay and consternation that, tension is rising within our party-the APC and it signals a brewing storm that could shake the foundation of this giant party ahead of 2027 elections.”

He stressed that, “A house once built on mutual understanding, unity and shared ambition now stands at the precipice of discord, with visible cracks threatening its very stability. Whereas: history has shown that, political parties no matter how strong, risk implosion when internal struggle go unchecked.”

According to him,”Events unfolding in the recent, where some mischeavous elements and vested interests groups are creating and weaponizing discontent within the conduit of the party by doctoring conspiracy theory with the sole aim to substitute His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, serve as an early warning, a symptom of much deeper fractures that could widen with time to consume off the party.”

“It is unfortunate that, murmurs of discent have continue to grow louder dominating all political spheres which amplifies the speculation sorrounding the fate of Vice president; Kashim Shettima,” he added.

The Group’s Chairman added that, “For APC, rumour of dropping a key figure from the party’s leadership structure “If thicken” is akin to stripping a man of his clothes naked in the market square-such a nasty and covert move will inevitably be met with pieace, resistance by all well meaning citizens, not onloy those within the fold of our giant party.”

He stressed that,”We have seen this political manourvering played before proved in futility; the strangulation aimed at sidelining strong voices often ignite battles that leave scars on party unity.”

According to him, “The resurgence of this conspiracy agenda reminds us the lesson learnt from the past, mechinations built by some coalitions in shadows to ouster the Vice President led to internal disagreement which fractured dominant political aliances, caused mistrust within the hieraches and trailed its path to haunt the party’s decision which ultimately led to the unceremonious defeat of the incumbent powers that be, in 2015.”

He then declared that,”On this note, we want to state it unequivocally clear that, any attemp to reconfiqlgure the joint ticket of His Excellency, Bola Ahmad Tinubu/Kashim Shettima in 2027 will only bring resentlement that could lingered beyond the elections with its negative reverberation which could trigger with the party’s success.”

He added that,”It is far from being hidden that, the ghost of the previous actions of PDP is the one still haunting the party in the country, today – History has only little patience for those who choose to ignore its lessons.”

“As APC sails through this tumultous waters, one must ask some pertinent questions: Can the party survive the machination of some fifth columnists within, who figured out to use conspiracy theory in destroying the long term progress made, with the 2027 elections on the horizon? should we overlook all the lessons learnt from history by allowing excessive ambition becloud the sense of reasonings of some key players to the dangers ahead?,” he retorted.

According to him, “Every one knows that, Tinubu’s administration inherited a low revenue and shrinking economy, but was determined to address these chellenges through various reforms anchored in the Renewed Hope agenda which His Excellency,, Kashim Shettima is heading the robust economic team.”

“However, instead of these political marauders to concentrate and align with this pragmatic achievements, they formed coalitions in shadows aiming their arrows to struck at the Captain of the Economic Ship,” he enthused.

Kabiru Garba Kobi stressed that, “At this juncture, we wish to inform His Excellency, our popular and charismatic leader in the person of Bola Ahmad Tinubu that, the entire calculated ingrate is after you not the Vice President. what the assailants have figured out to achieve by this hypocracy is to instigate the substitution of Kashim Shettima with some one with fragiled political reputation.”

According to him,”Knowing fully that, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima would pacify all his supporters to live everything with God, and that will be a turning point on you to contend with the wrath of teaming Nigeria’s populace, this is because – God in his just nature abhours injustice.”

He further stressed that, “We believe, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is worthy of trust who comes with lofty visions of rescuing the country from the shackle of bad governance, fragiled economic policies and excessive greeds.”

According to him, “We saw and appreciate the way he emphasised the need for difficult decisions, to confronting economic realities, which may cause temporary discomfort but are essential for long term stability and stealth growth. Therefore, we all see the need to rally round our support behind them to built for us veridical country with all it takes to compete with others in growth at all ramifications.”

He concluded, “Finally, we are hereby declaring our unequivocable position to endorsing the joint ticket to Tinubu/Kashim in 2027 and we will continue to promote this ideal precedence with urishaken resolve. This is because, the ticket is tested and trusted by all.”
