Adamawa state governor, Alhmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and properties of the people of the state, while pledging to fulfill all campaign promises made.
The Governor stated this when he received Stakeholders of Mbula, Bwazza, Tambo and Bille of Demsa and Girei Local Government areas, who paid him a courtesy visit at the government house, Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said he was reelected as the governor of the state for the second term in order to serve the good people of the state and as such he must ensure that the people are carried along in the governance of the state.
The governor while speaking on some of the policies of his administration said the ban on cutting down trees in the state is aimed at saving the ecosystem and preserving the environment as inherited from the fore fathers, emphasizing that, there are histories and heritages that must be preserved.
Governor Fintiri said his administration will soon roll out palliatives that will cushioned the effects of subsidy removal by the federal government.
He said government will ensure that whatever that is meant for the people, reaches them without hitches, emphasizing that everybody must be treated equally.
Governor Alhmadu Umaru Fintiri, also warned that whatever is being provided as palliative must be distributed fairly without personal interest or preferences.
He assured that his administration is with the Mbula people just like it is with the rest of the people of the state, ensuring that their relationship will go a long way in the development of Adamawa state.
The governor thanked them for the visit and equally solicited their prayers and support for the development of Adamawa state.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation Mr. Boniface Zebulun said the people of Mbula Chiefdom were at the government house to express their joy and happiness over the victory of the Governor as the leader of the state for a second term.
Mr. Boniface described the governor as a true champion of democracy and the people Mbula, Bwazza, Tambo and Bille are ever ready to be identified with the governor at all times.
According to him, the entourage consisted of stakeholders from MBULA, BWAZZA, TAMBO AND BILLE whose relationship with the governor had gone a long way and they are ready to take it further.
He also thanked the governor for the good work he had been doing for the people especially in appointments of the their sons, adding that the next four years of the governor in office is going to be remarkable.
Also speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Senan Murray thanked the governor for an outstanding performance during his first tenure as the governor of the state.
He equally congratulated the governor for his victory at the polls, describing his victory as a testament to achievements recorded in the development of the state.
Senan Murray said, mbula people had served at different capacities in this administration hence the need for this thank you visit, pledging for more opportunities to serve under the governor’s leadership.
The delegation also appreciated the governor’s efforts in ensuring peace and security of the state whIch had continued to attract foreign investments into the state.
In his remarks, the Murum Mbula, Bwaltam Biyapo, who was represented by the district head of Mbulla, Chief Timawus Fwah, thanked governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the good work he’s been doing in the entire state and called on him to continue to do more.
