Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) drawn from across the Six States of the North-East – Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe states under the auspices of North-East Coalition of CSOs (NECCSO) has passed vote of confidence on Malam Musa Umar Yashi, the Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission (NEDC).
This is coming sequel to a sponsored attempt by some cheaply hired media scum, intended at smearing the age-long, hard-earned, and enviable good-name and dossier of Malam Musa Yashi.
The convener of the group, Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa from Bauchi state, reaffirmed that, the groups’ primary objective of passing the vote of confidence on Musa Yashi was not unconnected with his Midas touch in the Humanitarian Affairs directorate of the NEDC.
The Coalition stated that as the Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the NEDC, Malam Musa Yashi extended oliver branch to every nooks and cranny of the entire seven member states of the North-East.
It added that sequel to the gradually returning of peace to the subregion, Malam Musa Yashi has continue with the Commission’s resettlement, reconstruction and revamping the economy of the zone.
“And perhaps, the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) within the region, in the sideline of resettlement process of the Commission, are presently receiving the most required humanitarian aid, in form of food and non-food items, under close supervision of the Commission’s Humanitarian Affairs Executive Director, Malam Musa Yashi,”He stressed.
According to him,”Nonetheless, under the country’s current economic and social turbulence, resulting from the after-effect of fuel subsidy removal, relief materials in the forms of food and non-food essential commodities, are evenly distributed across the seven North-Eastern member states of NEDC; namely Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Taraba and Yobe, respectively, courtesy of NEDC Humanitarian Affairs Executive Director, Musa Yashi.”
