About 2000 civil servants are taking part in sensitization workshop for the 2023 batch A Bauchi State Civil Service Promotion Examination.
The workshop organized by the Office of the Head of Civil Service in collaboration with Dugge Management Services Limited is to prepare and widen the horizon of qualified civil servants for the promotion to face the examination.
In his opening speech the State Head of Civil Service Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna noted that the split of the examination into two batches has addressed the anomalies being experienced in conducting it once a year.
“…. I am really happy today because of the huge success recorded in the 2022 edition of the examination which had recorded about 90 percent passes..”
the Head of Civil Service said.
Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna said the state government was committed to ensure success of the promotion examination policy, staff welfare and human capital development.
” … the beauty of this policy is that the examination has become point of our capacity enhancement strategies whereby those preparing for the examination have to read widely…….” Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna insisted.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary Establishment and SERVICOM Matters Bureau, Barrister Muhammad Sani Umar said the aim of splitting the promotion examination into two batches was for ease management and give chance to civil servants that missed first batch to be captured in the second.
” …. you will recall that His Excellency has approved the the splinting of the examination into two batches for ease management…..” the Permanent Secretary said.
Barrister Muhammad Sani Umar while appreciating the state government for the provisions of welfare packages to civil servants urged them to reciprocate the gesture through dedication to duty.
In an overview of the training programme and methods of the examination, the Consultant and Chief Executive Officer Dugge Management Services Alhaji Gambo Magaji said seasoned administrators have been engaged to present eight different papers for the conduct of the promotion examination in the next few days.
In a goodwill message, the State Chairman Civil Service Commission Alhaji Abubakar Usman represented by the Permanent Commissioner One Abdullahi Babayo Jalam called on the participants to be attentive throughout the period of the workshop to enable them pass with flying colours.
