Adamawa state government at it’s 8th Council meeting presided over by the governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,has approved the construction of modern laboratory at the specialist hospital in Yola and the reconstruction of 42km from Damare to Labondo,Goron and others.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting,Commissioner of Education Dr. Umar Garba Pela said the road construction is crucial for ease and developmental activities of people in the areas hence, the reason,the state executive council took into consideration, detail analysis and decided additional variation of One hundred and Seventeen Million,Six hundred and Seventy-one Thousand, One hundred and Twelve Naira,Eighty-nine Kobo due to inflatory situation in the country.

Garba Pela opined that the state government remain committed to prioritizing people oriented projects especially in provision of basic amenities.
Speaking on the approval of a modern laboratory at the specialist hospital Yola,Commissoner for Health Chief Felix Tangwami said,the laboratory will assist in diagnosis and other health challenges in the state with the project at 70% completion.
The laboratory is expected to cost Five hundred and Seventy-eight Million,Seven hundred and Seventy-seven Thousand,Seven hundred and Thirty-seven Naira,Thirty-four Kobo.
The health commissioner further said the laboratory when completed will be first of it’s kind in the Northeast.
Government House correspondent Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram reports that the construction of the modern laboratory have 4 months completion period while the 42km road is expected to be completed in 12 months.
