In what came to people of Bauchi State particularly those in the corridors of power as a great surprise, Barr Kashim Mohammed Ibrahim on Friday, resigned his appointment as the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government.
The announcement of the resignation hit the atmosphere in Bauchi Friday evening as a thing that can best be described as one of the most shocking events of the Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir led PDP administration considering the level of loyalty and trust exhibited by the now former SSG.
Recall that Kashim Ibrahim was the place holder for Bala Mohammed during the 2023 PDP gubernatorial primary when the Governor made a foray for the Presidential ticket.
Though no reason have emerged as the reason for the development, many who expressed opinions over it are suggestive that there must have been a serious reason thar must have led to it.
Meanwhile, Governor Bala Mohammed has accepted the resignation of the Secretary to the State Government with immediate effect .
The Chief of Staff , Government House , Bauchi , Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa , has been directed to take over from him in an acting capacity .
Bala Mohammed , on behalf of the government and the people of Bauchi State , thanked him for the services he rendered to the State and wished him well in his future endeavors as contained in a statement by Mukhtar M Gidado, Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor.
