The Committee on Health and Human Resource of the Bauchi State House of Assembly has expressed commitment to ensure government policies of strengthening health care development in the state is achieved.
The Chairman of the committee Lawal Dauda stated this during a working visit to Tilden Fulani, Magama, Naborbo and Kofar Ran, and Konkiyel Primary Health Care centers in Toro, Bauchi, and Darazo Local government councils respectively with members of the committee.
He said the committee is on the working visit to see for it self the weakness in the primary health care system governance and give recommendations that will turn the Fortune of the sector across the state.
Lawal Dauda who expressed worries over the poor conditions in some PHC assured to advise state government and relevant agencies to overcome the major problems for better result.
The Chairman of the committee urged the hospitals to get fully digitalized and get their system automated, saying it is the best way to deliver good health services to the citizens.
The medical Officers in charge of Tilden Fulani, Magama, Nabordo, Kofar Ran, and that of Konkiyel told the committee that the PHC Centres are facing a lot of challenges to include lack of manpower, power supply, laboratory equipments among others.
They used the opportunity and urged State government to help overcome the problems and challenges for efficient and effective service delivery.
The Committee was earlier at the offices of the Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Toro, Bauchi and Darazo.
Receiving the committee in their respective offices, the chairmen assured pledged to compliment state government’s efforts of providing effective health care services for all.
