Bauchi athletes get N.5m morale booster for national youths games

Morales of Athletes representing Bauchi State in the ongoing National Youths Games in Asaba, the Delta state capital, have been boosted with a donation of the sum of N500,000.
The morales booster donation was announced by the State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development in Asaba, to the Athletes on Friday.
The overseeing Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim made the donation on behalf of the Commissioner, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, while addressing the contingents at their camp in Asaba.
Abdullahi Ibrahim said, the gesture was to motivate the entire contingents to do better in their respective area of assignments, as games commences tomorrow.
According to him, beneficiaries of the donation includes Athletes, Coaches, Secretaries, securities, medical, drivers among other officials.
The overseeing Permanent Secretary, used the forum to urged the athletes, coaches and other technical staff to try hard and make the State proud at the end of the ongoing national youths games in Asaba.
Speaking on behalf of other athletes, Jacob Paul, a Beach Volleyball player, thanked the Ministry and the Permanent Secretary for the gesture and promised to reciprocate by giving their best in the entire games.
