Bauchi Government commends organisers of 3-day Medical outreach

Bauchi State Government has expressed deepest appreciation to the organisers of the just concluded medical outreach by faith based collaboration during which people with different sicknesse were treated freely.

The 3-day medical outreach, held between Friday and Sunday, was organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bauchi State in collaboration with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bauchi State and the Eternity Ministry in association with another Ministry from the United States of America (USA).

In a show of support and appreciation, a high-level delegation from the Bauchi State Government led by Pst Zakka L Magaji ( SSA Christian Religious Affairs) and Hon. Danladi Yakubu (SSA Special Duties), attended the concluding phase of the 2025 Medical Outreach, held at the CAN Secretariat.

The mop-up exercise, which marked the final segment of a the three-day outreach programme, witnessed the delivery of critical healthcare services including medical consultations, minor and major surgical procedures, diagnostic evaluations, psychological counseling, and empowerment packages for widows and vulnerable women.

Speaking on behalf of Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala A Mohammed, the government delegation expressed the Governor’s deepest appreciation to the organizers and medical team for their tireless humanitarian service.

The delegation commended CAN Bauchi State and the Christian Diaspora Doctors for their unity of purpose, professionalism, and commitment to saving lives and uplifting the less privileged across Bauchi communities.

Zakka Magaji added thus; “The Governor conveys his highest assurances of partnership and gratitude. Your sacrifices and the resources you’ve invested into this program are deeply appreciated. You have not only brought healing to the sick, but also hope to many,”.

Bala A Mohammed through his SSA, Zakka Magaji, reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to continue providing an enabling environment for such initiatives, reiterating that inclusive healthcare, interfaith harmony, and community empowerment remain pillars of his development agenda.

According to the organizers, the outreach spanned several days and locations, with the mop-up designed to accommodate patients who were unable to receive care during the initial phases.

Special attention was given to rural dwellers, internally displaced persons, widows, and children suffering from chronic and undiagnosed health conditions.

In his remarks, Representative of CAN Bauchi State, Rev. Promise Nuhu Yohanna, described the partnership as a divine intervention and a clear example of how faith-based groups can complement government efforts in healthcare delivery.

Also speaking, Prof. Momah Tobe, the Lead Member of the Diaspora medical team, emphasized the importance of using one’s professional skills, personal resources, and international alliances to answer God’s call to serve humanity, as inspired by the biblical commission in Isaiah.

As the event concluded, dozens of patients were still being attended to by the committed medical volunteers, who worked around the clock to ensure no one was left unattended.

The outreach was hailed as one of the most impactful medical missions in recent years within the state.
