The Registrar-General/CEO of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, on Thursday declared opened the Batch 2 of the In-House Enforcement and Compliance Training for State Offices in Abuja.
The training taking place at the auditorium of the Nigerian Bar Association is being attended by CAC officers from the 36 states of the country.
Hussaini Ishaq Magaji had earlier flagged off the exercise on Monday, 20th January, 2025, with a call on the participants to pay close attention, ask pertinent questions, and take notes to adequately position themselves to undertake compliance enforcements and
Inspection Duties with Confidence.
He hinted that the training was expected to deal with the methodology of handling unregistered businesses particularly unregistered PoS operators.
Others are strategic implementation of legal and regulatory frameworks for dealing with brief cases or shell companies and opaque ownership structures through nominees or trustees companies and proper disclosure of persons with significant control in line with the requirements of Persons with Significant Control, among others, Magaji added.
The conference is expected to be brought to a close on Saturday, 25th January, 2025 as contained in a statement the Media Section, CAC.
