Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Sunday, observed the Eid prayer in Saudi Arabia while performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah).
Bala Mohammed joined millions of Muslims in the Holy land to mark the special occasion, seeking divine blessings and guidance for himself, the people of Bauchi, and Nigeria at large.
Speaking shortly after the prayers, Bala Mohammed, rejoiced with Muslims worldwide, emphasizing the importance of Eid as a time for spiritual renewal, forgiveness, and gratitude.
While praying for Allah’s mercy, peace, and economic prosperity for Bauchi State and the country, the PDP Governors’ Forum Chairman, enjoined Muslims to remain steadfast in faith and committed to the principles of justice and equity.
He, however, reminded Muslims of the significance of sacrifice, patience, and kindness, which are central to the teachings of Islam, encouraging them to use the festive period to support the less privileged, promote unity, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood within their communities.
Bala Mohammed further called for collective efforts in building a peaceful and prosperous nation, stressing the need for tolerance, mutual respect, and national cohesion.
He urged leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of the people and work towards creating opportunities for economic growth and social development as contained in a statement by, Lawal Muazu Bauchi, Governor Bala’s New Media Aide.
