Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on Monday, paid visits to three different families to extend his condolences over the losses of their loved ones.
The first visit was to the family of the late Alhaji Sale Maina following the demise of Abdulrahaman Sabo Maina, who died in Gombe on Saturday after a protracted illness.
Conveying his condolences to the family, Governor Inuwa Yahaya urged them to find solace in the exemplary life that the late Abdulrahaman had lived, describing him as “a responsible young person of decent character.”
In a similar development, Governor Inuwa also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Umaru Kalshingi, a renowned statesman who was a close family friend of the Governor.
Speaking to the bereaved family, the Governor shared personal reflections on the decades-long relationship of the deceased with with his own late father, Alhaji Yahaya Umaru, saying “Alhaji Umaru Kalshingi’s passing is not just a loss for his family but a personal loss for me as well. He was a trusted friend of my late father, and his wisdom and counsel were invaluable to our family.”
The Governor concluded his visits at the family house of the late Alhaji Bappah Garkuwa, where he condoled with the family over the demise of Hajiya Hafsatu Tambaya, the late stepmother of his Commissioner of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ass. Prof. Abdullahi Bappah Ahmed.
At all the houses visited, special prayers were offered, seeking Allah’s blessings to grant the deceased eternal rest, forgive their shortcomings, and admit them into Jannatul-Firdaus while praying for the families to have the fortitude to bear the losses as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
