Kano State Government has committed substantial resources in strengthening the health sector in addition to institutionalization of bold reforms to transform the system.
The state commissioner for Health Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa stated this during the commissioning of projects at the state Drugs and medical consumables supply agency.
Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa represented by the parmanent secretary state ministry for health Hajiya Amina Aliyu Musa said the present administration is doing everything possible for the improvement of the health sector.
“We are completely convinced that this present administration’s policy and guiding values are committed to the welfare of our people at the grassroots. One of our guiding principles since the inception of this administration eight years ago has been to improve the health status of the good people of kano.” Dr. Tsanyawa said.
The commissioner assured that, Kano State government will continue to invest in the health sector through provision of adequate human and financial resources in order to ensure sustained supply of essential medication, vaccines and other medical consumables.
“As a prerequisite for capitalization, Drugs and medical consumables supply agency through D&E account has assessed over Four Hundred health facilities across the entire Local Government Areas in the state.” The commissioner said.
In his speech, the Director General Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency Pharmacist Hisham Imamuddin said the present administration of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved for the agency to execute the projects which were commissioning today that are include official flag-off of capitalisation of 300 health facilities across 44 local government areas of the state, commissioning of rebuild and remodel of pharmacist Hisham Imamuddin drugs Department, management bus, and commissioning store 1b at the agency.
“Most of the time it is very difficult for the management while going to the supervision in the situation were there is management Bus. With our tenure we are able to have a brand new Bus for the management.” Pharmacist Hisham added
The Director General thanks state ministry for health for it’s guidance and support to the agency.
