The projects, initiated under the Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago –led administration, are part of a broader initiative to reconstruct and remodel selected public schools across Niger State into modern, model institutions.
These schools are being equipped with contemporary facilities to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
During the visit, the inspection team assessed several ongoing construction and renovation works.
These include a 10-classroom high-rise building, an eight-classroom high-rise, a block of three classrooms, and the remodelling of five blocks of three classrooms each.
Additional projects inspected were the remodelling of a five-classroom block, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre, two VIP toilet facilities, and a solar-powered borehole with an overhead water tank.
Speaking during the tour, Hon. Mohammed Sani Idris praised the leadership of NSUBEB for its transparency and effective collaboration with the legislative arm.
“This visit is in line with the House Committee’s oversight responsibilities,” he stated, expressing satisfaction with both the quality and pace of work at the various sites.
Upon completion, the projects are expected to deliver a safer, more conducive, and resource-rich learning environment for pupils in Agaie and surrounding communities.
