General Yakubu Usman retired has charged religious and traditional leaders to support Government efforts in tackling insecurity across the country.
He gave the charge while addressing various groups who paid him a Christmas homage at his residence in Dass local government area.
He also enjoined them to consider Christmas as family holiday that brings unity among members of the society.
General Yakubu retired who said, Christmas was celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, appreciated the effort of Dass people in supporting the administration of Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir towards providing physical and capital Projects across the state.
Commenting on the security, General Yakubu retired, explained that security is everybody business, hence the need for religious and traditional leaders to redouble their effort in that direction.
Respond on behalf of the groups, the Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dass Local Government Area Alhaji Shatima Sani Korau, said they were at his residence to extend their hands of friendship as a way of acknowledging his contributions to nation building especially in the areas of security anf urged him to maintain the tempo.
