For the third year in a row, the Assistant Northern Bureau Chief (ABC) of Nigerian Tribune, Ishola Michael Adeyemi has been adjudged the Best Crime Reporter of the Year 2024.
He had earlier emerged as the Best Crime Reporter for 2022 and 2023 as given by the Police Command as the recognition of his professional involvement.
The award was by the Bauchi State Police Command and it was presented on Saturday during the 2024 Annual Officers Dinner and Award Ceremony held at the Command headquarters.
The certificate was presented by the Police Commissioner, Auwal Musa Mohammed who praised the awardee for his hardworking and dedication to professionalism in his reportage.
The CP declared that, “The award is in recognition of your exemplary dedication to promoting peace, security and unity through responsible and impactful journalsim.”
He stressed that, “Your commitment to informing the public, fostering dialogue and highlighting critical issues has been pivotal in building a safer and more informed society.”
Auwal Musa Mohammed added that, “Your work has continue to inspire and empower communities across Bauchi State and beyond. We are appreciative of your contribution.”
The CP urged him not to relent but do more for the good of the people of the state stressing that responsible Journalism is required to build a peaceful and secure environment.
He also commended Nigerian Tribune Newspapers for always according attention to stories from the Bauchi State Police Command saying that it has gone a long way in ensuring that people get the correct information about the happenings thereby promoting security.
