100 Nursing mothers in Bauchi have been gifted bags containing children kits and other items to enable them effectively take care of their children in this hard times and avoid malnutrition.
The items were donated by the Hope Alive Initiative run by the Wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Tomitope Enitan Ogunwusi and Al-Muhibbah Foundation, pet project of Bauchi State First Lady, Aisha Bala Mohammed as part of support to humanity.
Speaking at the ceremony held on Friday at the premises of Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, Olori Temitope Enitan said that it was the Eighth edition of the programme since the launching of the Foundation, celebrating love with the vulnerable people especially women.
According to her, “Everyday, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Ogunwusi is serving people, taking care of humanity, we always look count of people coming, he lives for the people, he wants people to just live a good life.”
She stressed that the Foundation is using the St Valentine’s Day to celebrate love with the less privileged people with particular attention on women and children who need help and support.
Olori Temitope Enitan stressed that,”There is no love without showing it to the people who deserve it. We have brought all these gifts to babies born in this season of love. We are doing it simultaneously across the country in our little way.”
In her address, Bauchi State First Lady, Aisha Bala Mohammed stated that,”It is with immense joy and gratitude that I stand before you today on this special occasion, a celebration of love, compassion, and service to humanity.”
The Governor’s Wife added that, “On behalf of Almuhibbah Foundation, we are honored to be part of this incredible collaboration with the Hope Alive Initiative of the Ooni of Ife , under the visionary leadership of the wife of Oni of Ife her Royal Majesty, Tomitope Enitan Ogunwusi.”
According to her, “Today, as we come together to mark Valentine’s Day, a time known for expressions of love, we are here to show that love in its true form , by reaching out to those who need it most.”
The Governor’s Wife added that, “This day, dedicated to love, has allowed us to touch the lives of children and their families in Bauchi, a state that is dear to us.”
“In this spirit, Almuhibbah Foundation is proud to complement the efforts of Her Royal Majesty the wife of Ooni of Ife, by providing food packages to 60 malnourished children across Bauchi State,” She added.
Aisha Bala Mohammed added that, “These children, whose lives have been filled with hardship, deserve every opportunity to grow healthy and strong, and it is our hope that this simple act of kindness will help provide them with the nourishment they need to thrive.”
“Furthermore, we are excited that our esteemed partner, the Hope Alive Initiative , will distribute 40 baby kits to children born in this month of love , especially those who are born today, She added.
She assured that,”These kits are more than just gifts—they represent our collective commitment to ensuring that these newborns have the tools for a healthy and bright future.”
Also, “In addition Almuhibbah Foundation has long been dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals across Nigeria, particularly in underserved communities.”
“I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Her Royal Majesty Tomitope Enitan the wife of Ooni of Ife, and to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make this event a success,” She stressed.
According to her, “Your support and dedication are invaluable, and together, we are making a lasting difference. My special appreciation goes to my amazing husband the Executive Governor of Bauchi State for all the support and love throughout my life …Baba na gode Allah yabar kaunata.”
