We’ll continue work extra time to deliver our promises – Bauchi Gov

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has declared that he, alongside members of the State Executive Council (SEC) will continue to work extra to ensure that the people were served well.

The Governor was speaking on Saturday, when he presided over the last SEC meeting for 2025 held at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office.
He said that as the year comes to an end, it was  time for stock  taking regarding the performances of the Administration as Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.
According to him, “Today is Saturday, you were supposed to be resting and having time for yourselves, but, we are here for the sake of the people of Bauchi State.”
He stressed that, “We will continue to work on Saturday, Sunday and any other time even when not convenient, we must serve the people, we must deliver on our promises to them.”
Bala Mohammed stressed that, “The recent award on Good Governance and Regional Growth from the Presidency and the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS), were possible with your supports as members of the State Executive Council.”
According to him, his Administration has received Three different awards from the same organization that included the Best Performing Governor in rural Infrastructure as well as Urban Renewal Projects and the recent award on Good Governance and Regional Growth.
He  noted that it demonstrates the fact that his Administration is of course a People oriented one with  programmes and policies for sustainable growth and development.
Bala Mohammed added that, “It is close to Christmas, we must do things that will make the entire citizens happy, that is the reason we are here. And I thank you all for your sacrifices and support.”
He further said that, “I can see on the agenda that we have a lot of issues to discuss, a lot of decisions to take for the good of the citizens. We will do our best but if we cannot exhaust the items, we leave the rest till 2026.”
He added that, “Yesterday (Friday), we met to take decision on the guidelines for the recruitment of 10,000 youths and women in order to reduce unemployment. I thank all of you for your contributions during the stakeholding.”
The Governor urged the SEC members to continue to implement Governments policies and programmes that will transform the State and the citizens.
The Governor then assured that efforts will be made in ensuring that all ongoing projects were executed as planned and delivered for the use of the citizens.
