Executive Chairperson of Bauchi LGC, Hon. Mahmood Babamaaji, has gifted Christian community in the LGA, various food and no food items as well as cash to enable them celebrate the Christmas with cheers and happiness.
The donation was done in the spirit of the Yuletide season which always bring families, friends and acquaintances together in festive mood.
The distributed items included Hundreds of essential clothing items such as shadda materials, wrappers, bulls , rice , groundnuts and palm oil, as well as cartons of Spaghetti.
The Chairperson’s kind gesture was aimed at enabling the Christian community enjoy the Christmas festival in a joyous mood considering the hardship people are experiencing presently.
The Chairperson said that he was inspired by the examplary leadership style of the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir which he seeks to emulate through effective and efficient service delivery.
He stressed that he is striving to ensure that LGA which is the State capital, really live up to the expectations of a cosmopolitan center home to people of divergent backgrounds.
While wishing the Christian Community a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2025, he urged them to remain law abiding and supportive of government at all levels.
While receiving the items on behalf of the Christian Community in Bauchi LGA, Daniel Ezekiel , Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Bauchi LGA, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairperson, Mahmood Babamaaji for his generosity.
Daniel Ezekiel announced that the donated items will be divided into Three categories: One portion for CAN, another for Christian Politicians and the remaining for the entire Christian Community in the Local Government.
This act of kindness by the Chairperson is a reflection of the true spirit of Christmas and promotes unity and harmony among the People of Bauchi Local Government.
