Yuletide: Gombe CP charges Officers over adequate security

Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, Umar Ahmed Chuso, has charged all Senior Officers to ensure effective coordination, intelligence-led policing, increased visibility patrols, and prompt response to emergencies, particularly around places of worship, markets, motor parks, recreational centres, and other public gathering points during the Yuletide period.
The Commissioner gave the charge during his maiden conference with Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Heads of Departments (HODs) to review and strengthen security arrangements across the State, in preparation for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The CP also emphasised public safety measures, urging residents to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary night movements; obey traffic regulations and avoid speeding or reckless driving; refrain from carrying or displaying dangerous weapons during celebrations; promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station and cooperate fully with security personnel deployed across the state.
