The Councilor representing Boi B Ward in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Madalla Haruna, has facilitated the repairs of 13 water pump boreholes in some unit of the ward.
This initiative has significantly enhanced access to clean water, addressing long-standing water scarcity issues that have affected the area for years.
In an exclusive interview with the Councilor, it’s one of his developmental strides aimed at improving the welfare of his constituents by demonstrating a commitment to addressing the pressing needs of his community.
According to him, with the dry season setting in which is always associated with scarcity of water, there is the meet to repair the water pump boreholes to address the issue that has been affecting the areas for long.
Madalla Haruna said the repairs will continue with places that needed such interventions and well as the construction of more boreholes.
In addition to addressing water supply challenges, the Councilor has also made significant strides in promoting education he secured free admission forms for 23 individuals from the ward, enabling them to pursue studies at the Bogoro College of Education.
This gesture according to him underscores his dedication to human capital development, providing opportunities for young people to further their education and improve their prospects for the future.

Furthermore, Madalla Haruna has taken steps to support the agricultural sector, which is a critical source of livelihood for the majority of Boi B Ward residents, with support from the Local Government, he distributed fertilizer to farmers in the ward to help boost crop yields.
This intervention is expected to improve agricultural productivity, ensuring that farmers have the necessary inputs to enhance their harvests and, consequently, their economic well-being.
While reiterating his determination to consolidate more of the gains he had recorded in just two months in office, Madalla Haruna acknowledged the exemplary leadership of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, whom he credited for creating an enabling environment for development in the state.
” We learnt alot from the leadership style of his Excellency Governor Bala Mohammed, our mentor. You can see what he has been doing in Bauchi State, building roads, schools and hospitals and other developmental projects. We will not fail him” he said.
” I must commend our Executive Chairman, Hon Lawi Sumi, his deputy, Mulki Markus Masoyi for their support, when ever we go to see him with our request, he listened to us and encourages us to be there for our people ” he added.
He also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Bogoro LGA Council Chairman, Lawi Yakubu Sumi, whose assistance, he noted, has been instrumental in driving progress at the grassroots level thereby restating his unflinching loyalty.
As part of his commitment to fostering development, the Councilor assured the people of Boi B Ward that more initiatives aimed at uplifting their standard of living are in the pipeline.
He reaffirmed his dedication to listening to the needs of the community and working closely with relevant authorities to deliver sustainable solutions.
