Gombe state Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has commiserated with the General Manager of the Nigeria Television Authority ( NTA) Gombe Station, Malam Abubakar Adamu over the demise of his father, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Deba who died in the early hours of today at the age of 90 years after a brief illness.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the deceased as a disciplined father, family pillar and community leader who was always there for the people, offering guidance, wisdom, and inspiration until his death.
He recalled the deceased’s contributions and legacy of service, from his early days as a staff under Native Authorities, to rising to the position of local government treasurer, which the Governor noted, reflected a lifetime of commitment to duty.
He described Alhaji Adamu Deba’s death as a great loss, not only for his immediate family but to the state as well, consoling Malam Abubakar Adamu and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their father lived a life of service to the nation and Almighty Allah.
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Deba, this morning. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and extend same to members of your family and the entire Yamaltu Deba community”.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
