Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala A. Mohammed has approved the appointment of the Emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman, as the State Amirul Hajj for the 2024 Hajj Exercise in Saudi Arabia.
A letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kasim indicated that his appointment along – side 13 other prominent citizens of the State is based on their devotion, exemplary dedication, discipline and divine service to Almighty Allah.
The SSG added that and they are carefully selected to oversee the smooth coordination and facilitation of pilgrims from Bauchi State during the holy pilgrimage.
The Amirul Hajj Team comprises individuals with extensive experience in managing pilgrimage affairs, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of pilgrims.
Their appointment underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to providing seamless pilgrimage experiences for all intending pilgrims from Bauchi State.
Bala Mohammed expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointed team, emphasizing their capacity to uphold the highest standards of service delivery and professionalism throughout the Hajj exercise.
He reiterated the state government’s dedication to supporting pilgrims and ensuring their welfare throughout their journey.

Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The rest are: Alh. Ibrahim Y.M Baba, Hakimin Yelwan Duguri in Alkaelri LGA, Surv. Ibrahim Saidu Jahun, Galadiman Bauchi, Bauchi LGA, Alh. Yayanuwa Zainabari, Shira LGA, Sheikh Zubairu A. Madaki, Ganjuwa LGA, Sheikh Salisu Sulaiman Ningi, Ningi LGA, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, Bauchi LGA, Malam Ahmad Inuwa Na’ibi, Bauchi LGA and Muhammad Haruna Barde, Dep. Chief of Staff, Katagum LGA who is to serve as the Secretary.
The team will work collaboratively with relevant authorities, including the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Arabian government, to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage experience for all Bauchi State pilgrims.
The Governor urged the appointed team members to discharge their duties diligently, with the utmost sincerity, and in accordance with the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.
