With the sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon and declaration by the Sultan of Sokoto, spiritual leader of the Muslims in Nigeria, Alh Saad Abubakar, the Thirty days fasting by the Muslim Umah is to commence on Saturday, 1st March, 2025 equivalent of 1st Ramadan 1446H.
Therefore, building on the successes of the last year’s Ramadan feeding, Member of the House of Reps, representing Darazo /Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, of Bauchi State, Hon Mansur Manu Soro has designated 27 Mosques for the feeding of 78,300 persons across the 22 Federal Wards of the Constituency.
The distribution of food items to ward headquarters has started on Friday ahead of possible commencement of Ramadan fast tomorrow.
The plan is to feed 2,700 persons daily from 27 different Mosques with rice, kunu, pure water among others.
The Federal Lawmaker called on the various committees of the 27 participating mosques to give their maximum cooperation for the success of the program.
He also assured that the items will be made available as arranged in order to ensure that the targetted recipients got it appropriately as contained in a statement by Aleeyu Darazo of MMS Media made available to Journalists in Bauchi on Saturday.
