A new Managing Director and CEO has been appointed for Bauchi State Government owned Radio Station, Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC), he is Umar Mohammed Shira.
The appointment was approved by the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed as contained in a statement by Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser to Bauchi State Governor on Media Affairs.
The Media Aide stressed that, “The decision reflects the Governor’s confidence in the leadership capabilities, vast experience, and dedication of Umar Mohammed Shira in the media and communications sector.”
He also stated that, “As a seasoned professional with a proven track record in media management and broadcasting, Shira is well-equipped to reposition BRC for greater efficiency, professionalism, and public service excellence.”
Bala Mohammed expressed his belief that the new Managing Director will leverage his wealth of experience to enhance the corporation’s role as a credible source of information, education, and entertainment for the people of Bauchi State and beyond.
The State Government urged
all staff and stakeholders of Bauchi Radio Corporation to support the new Managing Director in his mandate to improve the station’s operations and service delivery.
