Executive Chairperson of Toro Local Government Council of Bauchi State, Hon Pharmacist Ibrahim Abubakar Dembo, has commended the State Government for choosing the area as one of the sites for the implementation of Irrigate Nigeria Project.
The Council Chairperson who joined forces with the Governor to launch the Irrigate Nigeria Project in Udubo, Gamawa Local Government, expressed happiness over the development.
According to him, “This project aims to boost agricultural productivity and enhance food security in Bauchi State. Toro LGA is committed to the successful implementation of the project.”
Ibrahim Dembo also expressed confidence that, Bala Mohammed, known for his commitment to development and progress, will remain instrumental in driving initiatives that benefit the people of Bauchi State.
According to him,”His administration’s focus on agriculture, education, and healthcare has been yielding positive results across the state.”
The Council Boss added that, “The Irrigate Nigeria Project is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, providing employment opportunities and increasing income for farmers.”
He opined that, “By supporting agricultural development, the project is part of the Federal Government efforts to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil.”
He stressed that, Toro LGA, as the largest local government in Bauchi State and Sub Saharan Africa, its recognition and selection, as soon to be a beneficiary of this project demonstrates our commitment to providing opportunities that promotes the well-being of Toro People.”
Recall that Bala Mohammed had assured the people that under his watch, Bauchi State is opened to investors and other businesses in the agriculture industry stating that already, 50,000 hactares of land has been allocated in Toro LGA for various agricultural activities.
