Since leaving office as Executive Governor, former Governor of Bauchi State, in 2007, Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu entered the Government House for the first time last Saturday, 18th, May 2024.
The former Governor was invited by the incumbent Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the official commissioning of the remodelled and reconstructed Government House.
While speaking at the occasion, Adamu Mu’azu said that he vowed not to return to the State Government House and would not render any advice on politics to any incumbent Governor after leaving office in 2007.
The former Governor said that as an Engineer, he did not see the project as a renovation or remodelling but as a “Tsunami”.
He also said that in 2007, when leaving office, he ensured that all his property were removed from the Government House, knowing that he would not be visiting the seat of power again in whatever way.
Adamu Muazu further said that he visited the Government House 17 years after the expiration of his two terms in office when he decided to pay a condolence visit to Governor Bala Mohammed, who lost his stepmother.
According to him, “He (Bala Mohammed) invited me to the Government House and conducted me round the newly built structures. I was marvelled by what I saw. What happened here is not renovation by a complete tsunami.”
A viably elated Adamu Muazu commended Bala Mohammed for the giant strides which he said has brought pride to the entire state.
He then commended Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration’s transformation agendas, declaring that the Governor has performed far beyond expectations.
The former Governor urged the people of the State to continue praying for Governor Bala Mohammed to continue the good works he is doing.
