Community of Students leaders from North-East subregion of Nigeria which makes up Zone E of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has hailed the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Students Engagement, Hon Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo for effective leadership of the students across the country.
Leading the Community is a national stakeholder of NANS, Prince Mohammed Sani who served as the National Zonal Convention Planning Committee Chairman of the just concluded Zone E Convention held in Bauchi.
At the end of Convention, Comr Umar D Afkawa emerged as the newly elected Zonal Coordinator.
Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan said that Asefon Dayo Sunday is one of the best SSAs to the President on Students Engagement, as his commitment to Students and Youths community is highly acknowledge and recommendable.
“We call on the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Sen Ahmed Bola Tinubu to give more support to the office of the SSA to enable him do more for the Students community considering the number across the country,” he added.
He stressed that, “Asefon has carried the Students Community along and stands with them in all aspects, his doors are always opened for students. The SSA is working across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria to protect the interest of Nigerian Students at home and in disapora.”
According to him,”Asefon as former Zone D Coordinator and former revolutionary President of NANS, knows in and out of the students constituency, he is highly committed and dedicated, he is doing extremely well in his assignment.”
“We will continue to stand with him and support him, the President of Nigeria had made a right appointment by given Asefon, SSA on Students Engagement, we salute Asefon and we said thank you to him and assure him that the students constituency are with him,” he added.
Mohammed Sani Hassan concluded that, “Asefon is an icon of hope to Students community, he is really representing the students very well. He actively participated very well in all students programmes and conventions.”
