Speaker of 10th Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Gabriel K Dewan has been commended for effective and efficient leadership of the Assembly thereby giving hopes that Nigerian Youths have much to do in the Nigerian Project.
The commendation was made by the National President of the National Youths Association of Nigeria (NYAN), Comrade Godiya T. Adams Bogoro, while briefing Journalists on the decision of the group on Sunday, 31st March, 2024 in Bauchi.
According to him, “the Northern Youth Association of Nigeria (NYAN) has therefore passed a vote of confidence on the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Gabriel K. Dewan.”
Speaking emphatically, Comrade Godiya Adams said that “Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan has actually demistify what effective leadership is with his strides so far in the Plateau House of Assembly since his emergence as Speaker in November 2023.”
According to the President of the group, the State Assembly is for the first time in a very long while, working in unism in a bid to achieving the common goal of delivering on quality representation by all members of the house just so as to allow the good people of Plateau State enjoy true dividends of democracy.
Comrade Godiya further stressed that the emergence of Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan as Speaker of the 10th Assembly in Plateau State is a testament to the fact that Nigerian Youths still have a proper place in the Nigeria democratic and leadership space.
According to him, “this gives us reasons to dream dreams while keeping our hopes alive. Speaker Dewan has constituted himself a beacon of hope for youths across the country, he has not only function effectively as Speaker but as one that has made all of us proud.”
He stressed further that,”His acts of humanity and philanthropy especially to the youths and the downtrodden within the society is one which cannot be overemphasized.”
According to him, “The fundamental functions of the Assembly are to enact new laws, amend or repeal existing laws and oversight of the Executive. These functions, the 10th Assembly of Plateau State under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan as Speaker, is working with all form of zeal and commitment to be made reality and to the satisfactions of the entire people of Plateau.”
Godiya Adams added that,”Several life transforming bills have been passed in the 10th Assembly of Plateau State under the stewardship of Rt Hon. Dewan, once again, Plateau state is back alive and kicking and the people are happy.”
“We want to sincerely thank Mr Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gabriel K. Dewan and to unequivocally pass a vote of confidence on him and the 10th Assembly of Plateau State.Rt. Hon. Dewan has actually availed himself to us as a pattern for all youths of the country to model their lives after,” he added.
The NYAN National President also said that,”As youths, we are here to show total support to the Honorable Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and to The entire members of the House.”
