Participants at a 5-day strategic planing workshop organised by Foward in Action for Education, Poverty and Malnutrition (FAcE-PaM) have commended the initiative which they believe will enhance their operational skills and expand their bases.
They described the workshop as timely and relevant to the services their respective organisations are offering geared towards making the society better and stronger.
Some of the participants in who with Journalists expressed satisfaction with the various papers presented in the course of the workshop stressing that it has exposed them to new and modern ways of strategic workplan development.
Mrs Abigail Hardo is the Executive Director of Aid Connect for Development (AIDCODE) who was part of the workshop, she said that during the 5 days, she learnt a lot of new things and techniques about strategic workplan development
According to her, “Honestly, I have taken a lot notes from the presentations which I will apply in reshaping my organisation. I have learnt that strategic workplan must be in consonance with the aims and objectives of the organisation.”
Abigail Hardo added that, “With this, I now how best to relate with FAcE-PaM in operation. It will enhance our relationship as well as enable us to give direction any time we notice a derail.”
Also speaking, the Executive Director of Stonewall and Child Support Foundation, Nenfwolmwa Mafwalal said that the workshop has opened her eyes to the tremendous opportunities of strategic workplan in any organisation.
She stressed her organisation which works in the area of mental health will adopt a lot of the new things learnt in the course of the workshop in order to enhance effective service delivery.
According to her, “With the current situation in the country, alot of people are having mental health issues which must be mitigated. With what we have learnt here, we will be well equipped to design ways and means to mitigate mental health issues.”
Nenfwolmwa Mafwalal added that the working relationship between her organisation and FAcE-PaM will be more enhanced and strengthen collaboration for a better society.
A representative of Network of Civil Societies in Bauchi state (BASNEC) said that the workshop will further strengthen the partnership with FAcE-PaM in the areas of effective and efficient service delivery.
He stressed that as the umbrella body of CSOs in the state, BASNEC will ensure that CSOs updated their workplans in order to meet the aims and objectives of the project implementation.
The workshop was organised to assist FAcE-PaM and its partners develop a strategic workplan for the implementation of its project for the next 5 years, 2025 – 2030.
FAcE-PaM is an NGO birthed from the need to enhance sustainable human development towards addressing issues of Education, Health, Poverty, Malnutrition.
