He stressed that, “I want Christians in Bauchi state to move as one body irrespective of denominational differences, support the government and Governor in order to have a peaceful and united state.”
He added that, “Christians should be involved actively in doing that they have to do, they should not just sit on the fence and expect things to happen. No, you must be well involved.”
According to him, “The Governor that I know is approachable. We have a government that wants to do good of all people, and, whenever he does something for Muslims, he wants to do for Christmas. Because he’s a Muslim, that doesn’t translate love them more than Christians.”
“No, this man understands governance, he knows that all the people are his and Christians should be involved. They should not be afraid. They should work with our leaders as God commanded,” he added.
The NBC President added that, “And whatever it is that they ask of the Governor, they should expect him to do it. And I just want to encourage them to be good citizens of the State.”
Israel Adelani Akanji stressed that, “They have a fantastic Governor and I pray that God will make them realise it and be blessed in order to enjoy his time.”
