Newly reconstituted board members of Bauchi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) have been urged to justify the confidence reposed in them as Board members through optimal performance in carrying out their tasks.
The new Board members were equally reminded of the need to come up with sound initiatives that could propel the Agency to enviable heights in the provision of social infrastructures across the State, especially in the rural communities.
The call was made by the Bauchi State Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning and Multilateral Coordination Alhaji Aminu Hammayo on Wednesday 17th, 2024 while inaugurating the newly reconstituted board of the CSDS at the conference hall of the Ministry.
Hammayo said that the Agency had been one of the quiet MDAs of the State that are implementing life impacting social infrastructure, inline with the policy thrust of Bauchi State Government, aimed at entrenching community ownership of such projects.
He said that under one of the components of the World Bank Assisted NG-CARES project where Bauchi State Government earned it’s reimbursement of 5 Million Dollars, CSDA contributed about 65 percent through successfull implementation of the Agency’s NG-CARES’ Projects.
The Commissioner then charged the board to explore other avenues of executing meaningful projects beyond that of the World Bank Assisted Projects.
Responding on behalf of the members, chairman of the board, Alhaji Galadima Musa Gora expressed his gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for seeing them worthy of serving in the board.
He said that bringing back the members for the second time to serve on the board of the Agency was a clear testament that they have done well in the last dispensation.
Gora then urged his members to sustain the tempo and also assured that their second coming will witness another giant effort in leaving behind a sustainable legacy projects that are community driven.
There was a goodwill message by the Bauchi State Commissioner for information Usman Danturaki where he congratulated the new board members and also pledged his ministry’s commitment in supporting the activities of the CSDA.
