As part of his strategic move to bolster industrial development in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed paid a courtesy visit to the Group Chairman of Resident Cement, Dr. Abbas Waziri, in Abuja.
The meeting centered on reinforcing the longstanding partnership between the Bauchi State Government and Resident Cement, a leading player in Nigeria’s construction and manufacturing sectors.
During the visit, the company reaffirmed its commitment to establishing a large-scale cement factory in the Gwana District of Alkaleri Local Government Area.
The proposed project, valued at billions of naira, is expected to significantly boost the state’s economy by creating job opportunities, enhancing local infrastructure, and positioning Bauchi as a hub for cement production in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking, Mohammed expressed his administration’s dedication to fostering an investment-friendly environment, emphasizing that such partnerships are critical to achieving the state’s development goals.
While lauding the Resident Cement for its confidence in Bauchi State, Mohammed reiterated his administration’s readiness to provide the necessary support for the project’s success.
