Five suspects have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command including suspected armed robbery Syndicate terrorizing residents of Misau LGA from who firearms were recovered as well those suspected of the gruesome murder of one Adamu in Bayan Gari area of Bauchi metropolis.
The operatives of the Police Command arrested Three suspects who were involved in an audacious armed obbery in Misau Local Government Area of the State.
The arrested suspects are Ahmad Musa alias Abba Yausa aged 20yrs, Tijjani Abdullahi alias T.J aged 20yrs and
Danladi Aliyu (aka Uban Daba) aged 30yrs
The alleged crimes committed by the arrested suspects included Criminal Conspiracy, Housebreaking andArmed Robbery.
The fact of the incident was that sometime in July 2024, at about 0230 hours, the suspects, along with four others, namely Ismail Kawuwa, Sadiq Kange, Adamu Dan Kamfani, and Attahir (still at large), conspired and unlawfully trespassed into the residence of Malumi in Misau LGA, Bauchi State.
Armed with locally made pistols and seven rounds of live ammunition, they robbed Malumi of ₦250,000, three handheld phones, and an unspecified quantity of recharge cards from various networks.
Ahmad Musa was apprehended by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) with a fabricated pistol and seven rounds of live ammunition and upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.
The Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad, has directed the Commanding Officer, CSP Sani Mohammed (O/C RRS), to transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation.
Upon completion, the suspects will be profiled and prosecuted for the crimes they have committed.
The Command is working tirelessly to apprehend the remaining Fugitives. Members of the public with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the nearby Police Station.
In another development, the Police Command has successfully apprehended two suspects involved in the gruesome murder of Adamu Alkasim Aged 18yrs, of Kofar Dumi, Bauchi.The incident happened in the Bayan Gari area of Bauchi.
The arrested Suspects are Usman Shehu (alias Babayaro) aged 20yrs and
Abdullahi Abubakar (alias Ababa) ‘m’ aged 19yrs.
The suspects were arrested for the alleged Crimes of Criminal Conspiracy and Culpable Homicide.
Summary of the incident was that Usman Shehu conspired with four others to attack one Adamu, resulting in his death.
Upon receiving the report, Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad ordered a discreet investigation, leading to the arrest of Usman Shehu and Abdullahi Abubakar.
The case is still under investigation and Upon completion, the suspects will be profiled and charged to court.
Efforts to apprehend other fugitives are as the Command is working to apprehend the remaining suspects, members of the public with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the Police.
The Bauchi State Police Command warned that violence and crime will not be tolerated in the state stressing that, “We will continue to work diligently to ensure justice and safety for all citizens,” as contained in a statement by SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Command PPRO.
