Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State wants corps members posted into the state to be vanguard of promoting positive change and unity for the development of the Nation.
The Governor made the call at the closing ceremony of the three weeks 2023 Batch B stream one orientation course at Wailo NYSC camp in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the State.
Bala Muhammad represented by his Deputy Muhammad Auwal Jatau said the aim of establishing the scheme was to promote unity and build stronger relationship among different ethnic groups across the country hence the need for them to champion the course of promoting positive change.
He congratulated the newly posted corps members into the state for the successful completion of the three weeks orientation course and urged them to be disciplined and respect the culture of their host community throughout the one year period.
The Governor reaffirmed the state’s commitment to protect lives and property of all corps members posted to the state.
Earlier the state Coordinator of the Scheme Rifkatu Daniel Yakubu warned them against engaging in local politics of the host community stressing that the scheme would not hesitate to deal with any corps members found wanting.
While commending the corps members for the discipline, patriotic and commitment during the three weeks orientation course the State Coordinator charged them to engage in various skills acquisition programme to become self reliant in the society.
Over one thousand corps members have been posted to Bauchi state for the 2023 batch B stream One for the one year mandatory service.
