The Confederation of African Football(CAF) has officially announced the final three-Men shortlist for the prestigious CAF player of the year award.
Here are the final three nominees:
Ademola Lookman 🇳🇬:
The Super Eagles and Atalanta attacker Ademola Lookman was shortlisted for the award due to his superb display for club and country.
Lookman won the Europa league title with Atalanta and became the first player to score a hat-trick in the Europa league final on the 22nd of May 2024.
The 26-year-old winger also won Atalanta’s Player of the year award for the 2023/2024 season.
Victor Boniface 🇳🇬:
The Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface was a force to be reckoned with for his Cub. Boniface contributed immensely in Bayer Leverkusen unbeaten run to claim the Bundesliga title.
The highly-rated 23-year-old striker also won the German Cup and the German Super Cup.
Brahim Diaz 🇲🇦:
The Moroccan and Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz was also instrumental for club and country.
The 25-year-old attacker won the Spanish La Liga title, UEFA Champions League, Spanish Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
