The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi matriculates the newly admitted students for the 2022/2023 academic session under its degree programmes in affiliation with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi.
Addressing the matriculants who were from School of Engineering and School Environmental Studies, the Vice Chancellor, ATBU Professor Muhammadu Ahmad Abdulazeez urged the students to shun any deviant behaviour that would hamper their academic pursuit.
Professor Abdulazeez who was represented by the Chairman Centre Screening Committee, Professor Mansur Malumfashi said the University would not tolerate any misconduct or violation of the rules and regulations by any student.
He also reiterated the University’s commitment towards strengthening collaboration with the Polytechnic to achieve high academic excellence which in the long run breeds well educated graduates with good character.
Also speaking, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Alhaji Sani Usman, who assured the students of the capacity of the polytechnic to feed them with the necessary knowledge they require.
Represented by the polytecnic’s Director, Academic Planning, Malam Salihu Muhammad Chimo, the Rector said introduction of the degree programmes was aimed at addressing the existing dichotomy between HND and Degree graduates.
Some of the matriculating students interviewed, Geogina Ayuba, Muhammad Saleh and Anthony Edo assured that they would abide by the institution’s rules and regulations.
Highlight of the event was administering of oath by the Acting Registrar of ATBU Hajiya A’isha Idris.
