Junior Chamber International (JCI) has solicited a working snergy with Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council to empower young people and create positive changes in the State and country at large
The assertion was made by the J C I National Vice President, North East, District Two, Ambassador Hauwa Musa and her entourage when they paid a courtesy visit and presentation of Human Duties Ambassador Awards to the State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Umar Sa’Idu held at the Council Secretariat, Bauchi
JCIN Ambassador Hauwa Musa said JCI has been involved in various projects and events, such as the JCI Africa and the Middle East Leadership Academy, where JCI Nigeria was represented
The National Vice President added that, JCI has local organizations in Nigeria which holds meetings to provide leadership development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change
According to her, their vision is to provide young leaders by amplifying their skills and encouraging them to solve problems as well as giving them access to a supportive global network
Ambassador Hauwa Musa commended Nigeria Union of Journalists Bauchi council particularly under the leadership of Comrade Umar Sa’idu for the usual support to their activities and called for it’s sustenance to enable them achieve their set objectives.
She added that the present leadership of NUJ in the state has demonstrated its commitment towards improving the standard of journalism and assisting citizens of the State, hence the award.
In his response, the NUJ chairman comrade Umar Sa’Idu commended the activities of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) and encouraged them to do more for the overall development of the country
Comrade Umar Sa’Idu reafirmed NUJ’s commitment to continue partnership with relevant bodies towards improving the livelihood of people in the country
While appreciating JIC for the visit and award given to him, the NUJ chairman challenge them to focus more attention towards impacting positively on young people lives especially in giving back to the society.
