Bauchi state chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir that his PDP led administration is the cause of the hardship people of the state are going through.
The APC therefore called on the Governor to stop his vatupuration on the APC led Federal Government over the situation in the country but rather, concentrate on giving the people good and effective governance.
The party also alleged that the Governor Bala Mohammed led PDP administration is the most corrupt in the history of the State.
The APC, which is in opposition in the state has therefore expressed confidence that it will win majority of not all of the seats in the forthcoming local government councils Elections.
The allegations was made by the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Umar Buba on Saturday, when the party flagged off its State wide campaign for the election having elected its candidates for the election in the 20 LGAs of the state.
Shehu Umar Buba said that, “In the atmosphere of free and fair elections, nothing can stop APC from wining the local government elections in Bauchi state.”
He said that, “The reason is because of the bad policies of the PDP government in Bauchi state. People of Bauchi State are being impoverished, you can see that Bauchi PDP government is very corrupt and the corruption is very obvious because everybody is involved.”
According to him,”You can see that under the PDP government in Bauchi state, nothing is working only stealing of public funds. This thing is open to everybody and it is obvious to everybody, so, therefore, people of Bauchi State are very much aware, very optimistic, we are going to win this election.”
Shehu Umar added that, “And this will give a signal to what will be happening in 2027 general elections, we are waiting for them and we are out, we are ready and we are prepared for this LG Elections by the grace of God.”
On the allegations of bad policies of the APC at the Federal level, he said, “This is very misleading, totally untrue, fictitious, fake and not true. Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Asiwaju, is doing everything possible to make Nigeria better.”
He stressed that, “I can tell you that the government has done a lot of things, Bauchi State Government is not even acknowledging or appreciating all the interventions being given by the FG.”
“For example, let me give you the recent intervention, 20 trucks of rice were given to Bauchi state to distribute to the populace in the state, where is the rice?he asked.
According to him,”3 months ago, about 70 trucks of Guineacorn were given to Bauchi state from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to be distributed to the people. Of recent, 70 trucks of assorted fertilizer were given freely to be distributed to farmers but they ended up selling it at the rate of N50000 per bag.”
The Senator added that,”This hardship in Bauchi state is caused by the Governor Bala Mohammed led PDP administration, it is a oneman government, I am repeating it, it is a government that is highly corrupt, look at even the Ministries, nothing is happening.”
“My message to the people of Bauchi State is that, I am calling on them to come out emmasse on the 17th of August to vote for APC, to vote for hope, to vote for change and by God’s grace, all our candidates will emerge victorious because our people will come out and vote for the APC,” he concluded.
Earlier speaking, the State APC acting Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Hassan Tilde said that APC is fully aware of the PDP’s plan to orchestrate electoral fraud as it has done in previous elections dated back to 2019, hence, “We, in the APC are ever ready to checkmate the ruling party in the state”.
He enjoined APC members, particularly its officials assigned to carry out electoral duties at constituencies and polling stations or units to guard against the snatching of the party’s hard-earned votes.
Mohammed Tilde explained that the APC has fielded candidates for all the 20 chairmanship and 323 councillorship seats for the LG elections in the state, and expressed confidence that the party will clinch to all the seats.
