In his continued efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the Civil Servants, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has directed the immediate payment of N10,000:00 to all categories of Civil Servants in both the State and Local Government Areas, as Wage Award.
The gesture will provide additional resources to Civil Servants to celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir in high spirits in the wake of the unpalatable economic situation generally.
The State Head of Civil Service, Yahuza Haruna commended the Governor for his numerous supports to the State workforce making them work with ease.
He urged the workers to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to their duties with a view to improving and consolidating on the gains made so far as contained in a statement signed by

Meanwhile, the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has been lauded by the State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) for Apr roving and releasing the sum of N10,000 as wage award to civil servants in the State.
The commendation was made by the Acting Chairperson of NLC, Ibrahim Maikudi, at a news conference held on Friday at the NLC Secretariat in Bauchi.
He said that following the deliberations between the Head of Service and the Labour leaders, the Governor graciously approved the sum of N10,000 as wage award to civil servants in the state for the celebration of the 2024 Eid-El Adha.
According to him, “The Governor had said the approval was in tandem with his commitment to easing the hardship being faced by the civil servants.”
Ibrahim Maikudi added that, “The timeliness of the release the organised labour appreciated the gesture would go a long way in cushioning the current harsh economic realities on civil servants.”
He added that, “We write to appreciate the approval and release of N10,000 to the civil servants; it will serve as an immediate intervention that will alleviate the suffering of the civil servants in the State.”
“While appreciating and pledging their support to the governor, the unions, however, called on the Governor to also consider pensioners with guesture,” he
said.
Ibrahim Maikudi however urged civil servants to reciprocate the guesture by working assiduously towards the development of the state.
