The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has trained and graduated 126 youths under its 2023 Special Skills Intervention Programme (SSIP) in Ningi local government area.
The training which focused on Skills acquisition was conducted in women development center Ningi for conservative 30 days.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony in Ningi local government secretariat, the ITF training development officer Muhammad Auwal, said the program was sponsored by the ITF with a view to provide the youths with business skills for self-reliance.
Muhammad Auwal advised the beneficiaries to fully put into practice all the experiences learnt during the training exercise.
He said the beneficiaries were trained on beauty care, barbing, and hairdressing.
In a remarks, the caretaker chairman Ningi local government Ibrahim Zubairu, represented by the Director Administration and general services of the local government Kabiru Mahmood commended the ITF for the gesture and pledged the LG’s readiness to key in to partnering with the agency for more intervention programmes.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed, Abubakar Bala and Sakina Abdullahi, expressed delight for the gesture and assured to make effective utilization of the opportunity.
