The National Youth Service Corps has appealed to Bauchi State Government to connect Wailo NYSC orientation camp with national grid as well as construction of additional accomodations to Corps members.
The Bauchi State Coordinator of NYSC Rifkatu Daniel Yakubu made the appeal during the swearing in 2023 Batch B stream one corps members posted to the state at Wailo Orientation camp in Ganjuwa LGA.
Rifkatu Daniel Yakubu said the camp was using standby generator due to non connected with national grid and urged the state government to assist them in that direction.
The State Coordinator called on the newly posted corps members to participate actively in the camp activities and abide by the rules and regulations of the scheme to achieve success.
On his part Governor Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir described the NYSC scheme as a symbol of unity, peace among different ethnicity in the country and urged the corps members to be discipline and respect one another during their three weeks orientation camp.
Bala Muhammad represented by his Deputy Muhammad Auwal Jatau reaffirmed his government commitment to continue to support the corps members posted to the state.
