A political pressure group, North-East Coalition of Tinubu/Kashim Support Groups has pleaded to Nigerians especially politicians in the opposition to stop blaming everything on President Bola Tinubu.
The group in a statement signed by its Director General, Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK Bauchi, stated that governance is a collective responsibility with every actor having a role or two to play for success.
It stated that, “Although, it is now no longer news to say that the business of governance in Nigeria is no longer a one man business as usual. Suffice to say one can not clap with only one hand. Each one must play his or her role very well.”
On the criticism of the Federal Government policies by the Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, the group unequivocally refuted the alleg, in every terms humanly possible, stressing that it was “inimical excessive of the Governor on President Bola Tinubu and his policies.”
“The Governor’s excesses while flagging off his Party’s electioneering campaign for the forthcoming, Saturday, 17th August Bauchi 2024 local government elections are tantamount to instigating the general public against Mr President,” It claimed.
It added that,”And perhaps, that should not be coming from a leader, as he often claimed to be. We’ll not sit back and fold our arms watching the dragging of the hard-earned reputation of President Tinubu in the mud.”
To the youths that are banking so much in this President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the group observed that the Governor’s excesses are akin to the rhetoric killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.
The group also reminded the Governor that Mr President is occupying an exalted office in the country which deserves respect and honour by every Nigerian.
The group stressed that, “His unmistakable confidence and unreserved drive with which he speaks of the forthcoming Bauchi 2024 LG’s polls are not unconnected with his conviction in the President Tinubu’s recent unprecedented local government’s autonomy which used to be an herculean stride.”
“There is no gainsaying that the Bauchi Governor knows better than every doubting Thomas that the problems of Bauchi state, and the country by extension, should not be wrongly transferred to Mr President and his well-intended policies, but rather, not far fetched from misplacement of priorities by elected officials.”
The group then called on each and every elected and appointed political office holder in the Six Northeastern States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe, irrespective of political, religious and ethnic denomination to support the developmental efforts of NEDC.
The group specifically commended Malam Musa Umar Yashi, the Director, (Humanitarian Affairs) of the NEDC for his unprecedented selfless services to his immediate constituents within the immediate domain of Bauchi State.
The group concluded that Bauchi state has received food and non-food humanitarian interventions of the Commission under the auspecies of the President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda compliment of Malam Musa Yashi.“`
