The Pioneer Management and Teachers of UBEC Smart School in Bauchi State have been charged to make maximum use of ICT facilities provided to train pupils and students of the school on digital skills for the smooth take off of academic activities.
The Acting Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB Alhaji Saleh Yakubu Ningi gave charge while declaring open a five day Digital Training for 27 Pioneer Teachers of the School in Bauchi.
Alhaji Saleh Ningi who is also the Permanent Secretary of the board said the training is to develop the capacity of the teachers to be able to deliver the right knowledge to the children, stressing the need for them to remain focused to achieve the desired result.
Earlier, the SUBEB Director Planning Research and Statistics Dr Sadiq Ilelah who appreciated UBEC for its effort towards the smooth take off of the school, expressed optimism on the capacity of the teachers to deliver quality education.
The Lead Resource Person and Head of Training and Capacity Development, Digital Resource Centre UBEC Abuja Dr Hafsat Lawal Kontagora commended Bauchi state government for its support and assistance towards the commencement of the training.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, the Principal UBEC Smart School Bauchi Malam Attahiru Inuwa thanked the leadership of UBEC and Bauchi SUBEB for their determination to commence academic activities and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
