Yobe State Police Command is on the trail of suspected armed robber who stabbed a lady and snatched her Cellphone.
The Command according to a Crime Update by the PPRO, DSP Abdulkarim Dungus, frowned at the recent attack on and innocent Civilian by unscrupulous element vowing to bring the culprit to book soonest.
The Commissioner of Police, Garba Ahmed expressed his displeasure over the aggressive acts of the perpetrator and directed for his immediate arrest anywhere he could be found.
On 27th April 2024 at about 2130hrs, the victim, while on her way trekking back home to her resident at Malari bypass after closing from shop in Jerusalem area of Damaturu was suddenly attacked from behind.
The PPRO added that, On reaching Damaturu City Academy, a miscreant attacked and stabbed her with a locally made Jack knife on the lower back and forcefully snatched and made away with her cellphone.
An alarm was raised attracting Police attention, on arriving the scene, Police Response Unit rushed her to the Hospital and is currently receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital, recuperating fast.
Meanwhile, the Command has deployed all available means to arrest the perpetrator and bring him to book.
In this regard, the Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed, enjoined members of the communities to be conscious of their surroundings from hoodlums lurking around.
