Christian in the State have been urged to inculcate the lessons learnt during the Christmas period to live in peace with adherence of other religions.
Similarly, they were also enjoined to spread the gospel of the Christ to be their brother, be benevolent at all times and propagate all tendencies capable of uniting the state and the country at large.
The speaker of the State house of assembly Babayo Muhammad Akuyam gave the charge in a message to Christian Honourable Members and other well wishers on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
Babayo Muhammad said parts of the lessons learnt include tolerance, honesty and brotherliness as well as peaceful coexistence with one another.
He said the state assembly is aware of the numerous interventions especially politicians are making towards the wellbeing of the people and urged them to keep up.
The speaker who, noted with concern the numerous hardships the people are facing amidst global challenges economically, socially and politically expressed the hope that prayers will be intensified across all denominations to overcome the challenges.
In Another development, the chairman of the security committee of the State assembly Lawal Garba has appreciated the relentless efforts of the security personnel in the state for maintaining peace and orderliness during the Yuletide period.
Lawal Garba particularly congratulated the officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corp for ensuring the safety of motorists during the period and promised to appreciate their concerns to the National Headquarters of the command for their selfless service.
