Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Kassim Toro, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Gombe State Government.
Mr. Toro, who retired in 2015 after a distinguished career marked by excellence, passed away yesterday at the age of 69.
In a condolence statement, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Toro as an accomplished technocrat who made significant contributions to the state’s development during his service.
“The demise of Mr. Toro is a huge loss, not only to his immediate family but Gombe State in general. His contributions to public service and his commitment to the development of the state will be fondly remembered”.
The Governor extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the Dadiya Kingdom of Balanga Local Government Area.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for strength and comfort for his family. “May the Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear this great loss,” he added as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
