It is often said that the Pride of every teacher is to see his/her students excel in their various field of endeavor.
It is to this effect that Prof Sani Gumel a current Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Bayero University, Kano visited Two of his former students that have excelled and are currently serving the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The former students are Prof Aishatu Maigari and Dr Isiaku Babayo the Special Adviser on Development Partner Coordination.
Prof Gumel who was in the State for an official assignment deemed it necessary to visit the Secretary to the State Government Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi to convey his personal gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for appointing them into his cabinet.
He commended the Governor’s transformational drive in the State and wished him well in his remaining years in office.
Accompanied by Prof Aishatu Maigari, Dr Isiaku Babayo and the Dr Aliyu Bafeto of the Gombe State University, Prof.Gumel equally describe the trio as humble and few out of bright students during their academic sojourn at BUK.
Responding, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi thanked Professor Gumel for the visit and for keeping tap with the progress of his former students.
Professor Njodi equally appreciated the visiting University Don for acknowledging the giant stride of the present administration under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa.
The SSG also informed Prof Gumel of his students tremendous contribution in the development of Gombe State.
The SSG thereafter presented them with the Governor’s score card which encapsulate various developmental activities in the State as contained in a statement by Joshua Danmallam, Information Officer, SSGs office.
